Wausau Events, in partnership with Brickner’s of Wausau and CoVantage Credit Union is excited to present Wings Over Wausau!
The event will feature a professional day airshow both days, along with a professional night airshow leading into a fireworks show both nights!
Join us for static plane displays, military aspects from all branches (including various planes & demonstrations), RC (remote controlled) demonstrations, kid’s games and activities, bounce houses, a full petting zoo, Pilot Meet & Greets, food vendors, live entertainment and more!

4 PM: Main Gates Open – Planes on display, Military & Civillian Statics, Food Vendors, Beer Garden, Junior Pilot’s Area (Kid’s Games & Activities), RC Flying and demonstrations
6 PM: Professional Airshow
(PILOT MEET & GREET) will take place inside the tent near the Elmwood Blvd. entrance during Friday’s airshow!
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM: Live Entertainment by CURIOUS CROW.
9:30 PM: NIGHT Professional Airshow featuring lighted planes, US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team & Fireworks!

8 AM: Run the Runway 5K for the Never Forgotten Honor Flight & Wausau Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
11 AM: Main Event Grounds Open – Planes on display, Military & Civillian Statics, Food Vendors, Beer Garden, Junior Pilot’s Area (Kid’s games & activities), Petting Zoo (11 AM to 3 PM), RC Flying & demonstrations, Live Music
1 PM: Local Parade of Flight (airplanes) & RC Demonstrations
4 PM: Professional Day Airshow
(PILOT MEET & GREET) will take place inside the tent near the Elmwood Blvd. entrance during & after Saturday’s airshow!
6:30 PM: Live Entertainment by Hip Pocket
9:30 PM: NIGHT airshow featuring the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, Titan Aerobatic Team, Ghost Writer & Fireworks!
GENERAL INFORMATION
ENTERING THE EVENT
Event Entrances are located at Emerson Street & Elmwood Blvd gates (Main Gate). $5 per child & $10 per adult for the weekend! Both cash & card accepted. Tickets can be purchased in advance on our website using the link above.
PARKING
Parking is located along Southeast Side Neighborhood streets. Airport Park is used for Handicap parking only!
EVENT SHUTTLE
There will be a shuttle running between Downtown Wausau & the Wausau Airport on Friday June 27th from 4 PM to 10 PM and Saturday, June 28th from 11 AM to 10:30 PM. This shuttle will also drop off & pickup attendees from local hotels. Please see the following map for details on pickup/drop-off locations and hotels.
EVENT GROUNDS
We want you to get up close & personal with the airplanes at our event! Please follow all signage and direction from event staff to ensure the safety of all in attendance.
FOOD & DRINK
Local food vendors will be present at the event, with beverages sold from vendors and under the main beverage tent. Carry-ins are not allowed at this event. Coolers with ice are accepted into the event grounds. Backpacks & bags are subject to inspection by security. Baby items are always allowed.

Please see the below map for instructions on entering & exiting the event. The neighborhood is busy and this plan will help keep everyone safe during the event weekend!
CREDIT CARDS
Card payments are accepted for all beverage purchases, and most food vendors accept them as well, but cannot be guaranteed. There will be an ATM on site if you need to take out cash at the event. (2.5% CC Fee applies)
RAIN & WEATHER
This event is rain or shine, with most activities still happening in the case of rain. Please stay tuned to our social media pages for any delays or cancellations of the event and updated info.
