Our Alpine Learning Center employs over 100 ski and snowboard instructors, eager and excited to help all those looking to progress their skills of sliding on snow!
Rates and advanced reservations are now available online by clicking the button below. Search your anticipated visit date(s) and lesson programs will populate that are available for that timeframe.

Our Lesson Programs
Private Lessons do not include lift tickets or ski rentals within their prices per lesson. A valid lift ticket or season pass is necessary to participate in any lesson program at Granite Peak.
Privates (Ages 6+) | $139
Private lessons are a great option for skiers and snowboarders looking for personalized instruction, quicker progression, and more time exploring terrain that fits their goals. Each 90-minute lesson is available for individuals or small groups of similar ability levels, allowing our instructors to tailor the experience for the best possible learning and fun. Private lessons are offered Monday through Sunday, based on instructor availability. Max ski lesson group size is four and snowboard is two. You can request an instructor. If they are available, we can assign them.

MINI-Privates (Age 3-5) | $139
Mini-Private lessons are available for potty-trained children ages three (3) to five (5) years of age, and are an option to take a lesson with one of our instructors for very basic beginner skiing (snowboards are not an option). Kids should be prepared to be outside for 90 minutes, but instructors do take breaks in our Learning Yurt to warm up. Max group size is 2 participants.

ADD AN Additional Participant | $85*
Bring a friend or family member along! Add additional participants to your private lesson for $85 per person at checkout and enjoy learning together with personalized instruction. Max group size varies by lesson type: 2 participants for Private Ski Mini (ages 3–5) and Private Snowboard; 4 participants for Private Ski (ages 6+).
Alpine Learning Center Policies
We understand things happen and unforeseen circumstances can change plans. These policies are to ensure the accessibility of lessons for all. Our Alpine Learning Center will always work to understand each case and reschedule to the best of our ability.
AVAILABILITY
Please understand that lessons are in high demand and at times sold out. To respect the time of our instructors and others who need lessons, please read the policies below to fully understand your responsibilities when booking.
WHERE TO GO
Our Alpine Learning Center Desk is located in our Administration Building. When you arrive take a left as you walk in our main gate entrance. Check in to your lesson there. We'll get you set up to meet your instructor at the flag pertaining to your lesson booking. The flags are located between the Blitzen and Santa lifts near our children's yurt. (to the left of the Ski School desk if you are looking up at the ski slopes.)
Please note: Grab your lift ticket (and rentals) first to be ready for your lesson. Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your lesson to check in and get the most out of your time!
PURCHASE AGREEMENT
Purchase of lessons indicates that you have read and agree to all Alpine Learning Center policies, including Cancellation Policies (see below).
- Full payment is required in advance to secure booking.
- The purchase of lessons does not include a lift ticket or rental equipment.
- In the event that a child is no longer a willing participant in their lesson, we will contact the parent/guardian to pick up the child. We respect the autonomy of children, and will never force any student of any age to participate.
- Our instructors and programs are not licensed Child Care facilities. When contacted, parents must come immediately to pick up their child. If not adhered to, the resulting penalty may vary.
- In the event that a lesson must end prematurely (due to participation, equipment, or injury), it is solely up to the Alpine Learning Center to determine the outcome of a potential credit voucher.
CANCELLATION
Reservations may be changed or refunded by calling 30 or more days before arrival (by 5PM CST). A 5% rebooking or cancellation fee will apply. With Spot Refund Guarantee, cancellations within 30 days of arrival are 90% refundable up to 72 hours before arrival, with refunds processed through Spot. Without Spot Refund Guarantee, all reservations are final within 30 days of arrival – no changes, transfers, credits, or refunds. The weather does not change our cancellation policy.
*Tickets purchased and RFID pass acquired with rental equipment (if necessary) purchased, fitted, and with you.
