Upcoming Weekend & Holiday Terrain Updates
12/10 update: upcoming weekend & pre-holiday outlook
Closed 12/8–12/11 for snowmaking
Reopening 12/12 with daily operations + night skiing | 9AM–9PM
We’re set for another major terrain expansion heading into the weekend. Additional runs joining the lineup include Superstition, High Traverse, Woodspur, Carmie’s Couloir, Cottonwood, Meadow Ridge, Whitetail down to Wedge Woods, Snowflake, Mystery Grom Park, and the new Sky High → Aspen park connection. With these additions, all parks will be open with their full winter buildout — the earliest we’ve reached this milestone in many seasons.
Behind the scenes, the extended cold snap arriving Friday night is a huge opportunity for us — especially in areas where limited electrical infrastructure prevents us from running conventional fan guns. Trails like Panorama, Legends, Red Quartz, and Gem Stone rely on airless water sticks, which produce snow effectively only when temperatures drop to around or below 0°F. These perfect temperatures don’t come often, so our team will be working around the clock through the cold window to build depth where it’s hardest to make snow.
Snowmaking will also be shifting east of Dasher as we gear up for the next major wave of openings. Crews will be targeting White Lightning, Timberwolf, Sweet Return, Sunset, and the rest of that zone with a target of bringing the entire pod online by December 19. When temps cooperate, expect to see continuous overnight and daytime production as we build durability heading into the holiday stretch.
It’s shaping up to be a big weekend on the mountain with expanded terrain, fully built parks, and a major push underway toward the next lift‑served zone. We’ll continue posting daily updates as new trails come online.

OPEN 12/5–12/7 | 9AM–4PM
Closed 12/8–12/11 for snowmaking

We’re wrapping up the weekend with Comet, Blitzen, and the Blizzard Carpet open for laps. Thanks to the continued efforts of our snowmaking and grooming teams, we were able to add Upper and Lower Dusky, Birch, Miracle, Black Bear, and the fan favorite, Elk.
Snowmaking will continue throughout the upcoming week. We’ll share another update midweek with projected terrain for the weekend of 12/12 and heading into the holidays. We couldn't be more excited about the continued snowmaking temperatures, and we look forward to more terrain expansion for next weekend!
