Snowmaking

January 5 - 12

Snowmaking has concluded in the Far East and our grooming department is winching and working on Shadowridge, Idlewild and Mission Ridge & the trails feeding into Cupid! 

For the upcoming week here are anticipated snowmaking and opening details:

Throughout the Week we will continue to make snow in the west on Legends, Panorama, Red Quartz, Gem Stone and then the far west (Infinity, Western Frontier) again likely by the weekend.  

Monday 1/6 & Tuesday 1/7

  • Expect snowmaking operations off of Blitzen on trails such as Sundance, Carmies, Meadows and East Mystery
  • Goggles will be a must to ski off the Blitzen Chair during open operations.

Tuesday night 1/7

  • Sky High & Black Bear off the Comet chair will receive a 24 hour blitz of snowmaking

Wednesday 1/8

  • OPENINGS: Overlook, Shadowridge, Idlewild & Mission Ridge + trails below will OPEN for skiing & riding.  
  • CLOSURE: Whitewolf will close for snowmaking operations for approximately 24 - 48 hours

Thursday 1/9

  • Birch, Miracle, Lower Duskey, Hot Cocoa and Meadows are expected to receive some refreshing of snow with oscillating fan guns during daily operations.  Goggles to ski on these trails will be a must!

Little Legends Still Available!

Our 3-week Little Legends is back! This awesome, first timer program features three weeks of instruction for our youngest kids 3 - 12 years old.  Sunday's mini's (3-5 year olds)  have already kicked off but our 6 - 12 year old Tuesday nights still have a little room to add skiers and snowboarders.  Interested in getting your kid in to January or February programming?  Click the link below:

Grom Jam this Sunday

Our first Gatorade Grom Jam is this Sunday.  This series for our 12 & under kids is fantastic step into learning and having fun within our terrain parks.  The Grom Jams feature a morning of coaching from our ski school team as well as many others from the Parks and Events department.  Lunch with pizza - in lower Historic followed by a fun afternoon jam featuring tons of prizes, camaraderie and more!

Wisconsin Wednesdays are Back!

Our adult race league, lift ticket & rental deal and fun are back for Wednesday Nights at Granite Peak.  Our exclusive $20 Lift Ticket / $20 Rental promotion will be featured every Wednesday night through the end of March.  Look for food & beverage specials, special 21+ sampling events from partners such as Forward Beverages, Knowlton House, and more!

Welcome Race Athletes

The Granite Peak Ski Team welcomes in athletes from across the region for a weekend full of GS Race action on Exhibition. Males take to the GS stage on Saturday followed by Females on Sunday.  Exhibition is the only trail that will be closed off for this event as all other terrain will be open.
