SNOW SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR

Description:
Granite Peak Ski Area is a privately-owned ski hill located in the Heart of Wisconsin. As a primarily winter season facility we depend highly on our seasonal team to function smoothly and provide the best guest experience possible. The Granite Peak Team is looking to hire an Administrator in our Ski School for the upcoming season with a love for the outdoors, a desire to learn, and a commitment to excellent service.

Overview:
The essential function of this job is to provide administrative support to the Granite Peak Ski School Director, Ski and Snowboard School Instructors, and Office staff.

Responsibilities:
Makes and fulfills reservations and tracks all Pre-Bookings
• Communicate with guests in person, email, and over the phone regarding the booking of lessons as well as any questions or concerns
• Provide ongoing communication with instructors
• Maintain a lesson schedule that will mesh the guest’s needs with the appropriate instructors
• Maintains a knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of all Snow School Staff
• Maintains knowledge of all School products, programs, restrictions and policies
• Works efficiently with the ticketing system to sell products and accurately operate the register assigned for the day
• Accurately complete reports summarizing/accounting for daily revenues versus reported sales
• Handles daily timekeeping and bonus tracking for the entirety of the Ski School
• Effectively communicates in a knowledgeable and professional manner with staff and guests
• Understands Internal as well as External Guest Services
• May be called upon to teach lessons if there is walk-in business and no instructors are available
• Assist the on-boarding process for new and returning instructors
• Responsible for approving Ski Instructors Payroll
• Assist in uniform and name tag procurement and tracking
• Other duties as assigned by the Ski School Director and Office Manager

Requirements:
• Age 18+ with a High School Diploma or GED is required
• Previous ski school and/or other ski resort experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Must be able to multi-task and work through interruptions
• Customer service experience
• Good communication skills both written and verbally
• Able to work Saturdays and Sunday mornings
• Must be dependable with a good work ethic
• Intermediate skiing or snowboarding skills is required


Weather Conditions: The Snow School Administrator position is based both inside and outside with exposure to various kinds of weather. This requires the ability to work in cold weather (sometimes -20 temps) as well as wind and snow. The individual in this role must be able to walk on uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend stairs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift objects which may be heavy, etc.
