Description:

Granite Peak Ski Area is a privately-owned ski hill located in the Heart of Wisconsin. As a primarily winter season facility we depend highly on our seasonal team to function smoothly and provide the best guest experience possible. The Granite Peak Team is looking to hire professional, high-energy individuals with excellent communication skills in our Historic Chalet for the upcoming Ski Season with a love for the outdoors, a desire to learn, and a commitment to excellent service.

FOOD SERVICE

Overview:

We are looking to hire friendly Food Service Workers to prepare meals and to serve our customers. This role will perform food preparation duties and serve customers swiftly and efficiently. You will maintain knowledge of our products and provide customers with correct information where necessary. To be successful in this role, you need to perform optimally in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. Preferred candidates are fast paced, organized and dexterous.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and organizing work areas, equipment, utensils and service station.
  • Following established recipes to prepare menu items.
  • Following guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control.
  • Serving customers in fast, efficient and friendly manner.
  • Providing customers with information regarding food ingredients, availability and pricing.
  • Escalating customer concerns and complaints to management.
  • Assisting customers to pay for products.
  • Complying with relevant safety, hygiene and service standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of provided training
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Proficient understanding of food allergies and modified diets
  • Proficient understanding of HACCP requirements
  • Excellent people skills
  • Willingness to work at peak hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and weekends

LINE COOK

Overview:

We are looking for experienced Line Cooks to join our talented team and help prepare meals according to our standard recipes. In this position, your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet exact specifications. You will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked
  • Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu
  • Report to the executive chef and follow instructions
  • Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
  • Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers
  • Stock inventory and supplies
  • Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff

 Qualifications:

  • 16+ years of age required
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Aptitude for multi-tasking
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
  • Willingness to work at peak hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and weekends
