Lifts

We have installed seven new lifts over the last nine years. The first three new lifts opened up 30 new runs on the Eastern side of the mountain. The third new chairlift opened up 20 more new runs to the West The following year, we installed the longest high speed chairlift in the Midwest, the “Comet Express”. This high speed, six-place chairlift is located right in the center of our 74 runs and offers access to more than one-third of our terrain.

We installed a dedicated beginner’s chairlift and last year we have added a new Star Lift Wonder Carpet, a specialized conveyor belt tailored to meet the unique needs of learning skiers and boarders. The Wonder Carpet lift is especially great for children just learning to ski or snowboard.

Today, Granite Peak has the most modern and convenient lift system in the Midwest. Granite Peak will continue to set the standard for advanced and customer-friendly lifts in Mid-America.

Additional new lifts planned over the next few years include:

• A second high speed chairlift serving our superb intermediate terrain that will be even longer
• A dedicated terrain park lift
