Abundant Snow, Perfect Grooming

Thanks to the most powerful and sophisticated snowmaking system in Mid-America, we can better Nature’s best and offer plentiful and reliable skiing all season long. Making great snow is as much about quality as quantity, and we deliver both — every day. More terrain and more snow needs more grooming — and that makes full-time work for our eight Snowcat groomers. They roll seven days a week to ensure excellent ski conditions from your first run in the morning right on through the day and evening.

With its Wisconsin Northwoods location, Granite Peak receives more than its share of natural snow. However, in order to ensure superb early season skiing as well as plentiful snow for skiing through the end of March, more than 500 advanced technology snowguns supplement nature’s bounty of snow. This means that, year after year, Granite Peak will have the best and most reliable snow in the region, from mid November through the end of March.

To Granite Peak’s grooming crew, manicuring the mountain is almost a religion. With eight snowcats, all of our runs (other than our tree skiing glades) are groomed and buffed daily into perfect corduroy. The moguls and terrain park have their own staff to ensure that they remain in top condition at all times.
