EIGHT YEARS OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS
Over the past eight years, you’ve seen Granite Peak transform into an all-new ski area. New runs, new lifts and new facilities are evidence of the largest expansion – ever – of a Midwest ski area. And we aim to keep going, with continuous enhancements every year.
HERE IS WHAT'S NEW THIS YEAR
It’s been an exciting summer at Granite Peak, as we make improvements both indoors and out. On Opening Day, November 22, you’ll be able to see for yourself!
NEW SALOON
The Bear’s Den Tavern has been relocated to the upper level of our Historic Chalet, and in addition to a fresh new look, you’ll find more mountain-view seating.
A SEASON FULL OF EVENTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

NEW FACILITIES IN OUR HISTORIC CHALET
We’ve remodeled the lower level to offer additional seating , plus new restrooms with changing areas. Now you’ll have more room to relax!
MASSIVE NEW OUTDOOR PATIO AREA
Are you ever going to be surprised! We have added a new massive outdoor patio with beautiful colored concrete surface to the front of our Historic Chalet with several amenities:
- Plenty of mountain-view seating
- Heaters and wind breaks for added comfort
- New fire pit for bonfires
- New outdoor grill area — serving delicious grilled items every Saturday
Once again, we have also expanded our snowmaking capabilities on the mountain to ensure early and late snow!
Be sure to stop in our Granite Ski & Sport Shop this Fall to see all the new items on display from Obermeyer & Mountain Hardware outerwear, Under Armour apparel to Smith & Spy goggles!
